Regular price $ 14.99 Save $ -14.99Cooking and weaving have much in common. Both use recipes with a list of “ingredients” and amounts, create something often more than the sum of its parts, and bring joy to the maker and recipient. In this issue, you’ll find projects that celebrate the intersection of food and weaving, including ice cream inspired rigid-heddle woven napkins, raffia coasters with matching snack mat, a sweet scarf designed to look like candy buttons, a zesty lemon kitchen pin-loom towel, a clever inkle coin purse perfect for the farmer’s market, and much more. Learn the basics of tablet weaving from John Mullarkey, including how to thread cards, warp your loom, read a draft, and weave basic design. Join Christine Jablonski as she explains the mathematical concepts behind the Fibonacci sequence, the Cantor set, and Pascal’s triangle and how they apply to weaving. Handi Handles from Ashford Handicrafts
Regular price $ 29.50 Save $ -29.50This "handi" tool is designed for weavers with impaired physical strength or limited hand mobility to assist when turning the handles to advance the warp on Ashford looms. The handi handle is simply placed over the existing nylon handle of your loom and turned gently.
This product is not necessary for weavers without impairments, or weakness or other hand and arm ailments.
PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend only using sufficient warp tension for your project. Do not over tighten. Too much tension will make weaving harder, reduce the shed and could damage your loom.

Handi Handles Small - for Katie, Knitters and SampleIt Looms
Handi Handles Large - for Standard Rigid Heddle and Table Looms

15" End Delivery Shuttle from Schacht
Regular price $ 139.00 Save $ -139.00Schacht End Delivery Shuttles are the ultimate in shuttles, designed especially and precisely for handweavers. They are lightweight, comfortable to throw and catch, adjustable to a variety of yarns, and easy—really easy—to thread. Our end delivery shuttles are available in 12″ and 15″ sizes.
How the end delivery shuttle works: The end delivery shuttle uses a pirn that remains stationary, instead of a free-spinning bobbin. The weft yarn unwinds off the pirn’s tip when the shuttle is in motion and stops unwinding when the shuttle stops. The yarn comes off the pirn and goes through a set of tension pads and comes out of the shuttle at a constant tension. This even delivery of weft causes less draw-in, which in turn makes better selvedges.
Resist the temptation to handle the weft yarn at all. Simply adjust the tension with the enclosed allen wrench to suit the yarn you are using and allow your shuttle to do the work. You’ll love how you can weave more rapidly than ever.
You’ll need pirns to go with your shuttle:
Use a double end or electric bobbin winder for pirns.
