This versatile, beginner friendly, and quick to make chunky crochet hat is the perfect choice for any blustery day. The hat works up quickly with a simple ribbing stitch. When the brim is folded up it has a slight slouch and turns into a full size slouch hat with the brim folded down.
The sample shown in this pattern is made with Andeamo super bulky peruvian wool & alpaca yarn blend by Jody Long in color 21, Forest. Andeamo comes in 175yd/200g hanks. The sample shown is a one-skein project with about 20g of surplus. Other wool super bulky yarns that are approximately 70-90 yards per 100g are easily substituted within the suggested gauge.
